Visual Communication
Five smartphones displaying social media posts about climate change and environmental issues, with messages about rising sea levels, land loss, and petitions to take action.

For this Visual Communication project, I chose to design a social media carousel for Pacific Island Students Fighting Climate Change (PISFCC) — a non-profit organisation that advocates for climate justice and empowers Pacific youth to use their voices on a global stage. As a Pacific Islander student myself, I felt personally connected to their mission and wanted my design to reflect both urgency and cultural pride. I analysed one of their existing posts to understand how they communicated visually, then used Adobe Illustrator to create a reimagined version. By applying Gestalt principles, hierarchy, colour, line, and framing, I aimed to make the carousel more cohesive, clear, and impactful while also showcasing my technical graphic design skills.
